Impressively directed and sharply written, this is a powerfully emotional British drama with superb performances from all four leads...Of the four, Cumberbatch is moving and dignified as James, while Feild adds several layers to Miles in the more obviously charismatic role (as well as demonstrating an impressive ability to cry underwater), but there's strong support from Burke and newcomer Robertson, both of whom find touching moments of their own.

The Times has a 4 star review in today's dead tree version and another brilliant online review from Hey U Guys The Screen Daily review is not quite so fantastic but they do have 4 lovely stills from the film.

Third Star, aka Barafundle Bay, has a new UK release date according to IMDb. It is now September 2nd, 2010.

Barafundle Bay is the story of four young men, friends since childhood, who take an ill-advised camping trip to the farthest reaches of the West Wales coast.
James has been diagnosed with a terminal illness so he and his friends know that the trip will be their last together. They use it both as an opportunity to experience the joy of a group adventure and to resolve the latent tensions that affect the group.
The results are touching and funny, leaving an enduring sense of the courage and the dignity to be found in James and the beauty to be found in the friendship between him and the three other men.
