Tulse Luper Suitcases: on set interview

I acquired an old copy of the Sunday Times from July 2002.
It contained an interview with Peter Greenaway by Lesley White, from the film set of Tulse Luper Suitcases, in Barcelona.
There was a brief interview with JJ too, from the set.
Luper is brought to life by the angelic-looking young actor JJ Feild. "It's quite hard to talk about my character, " he says, "because it is so much Peter's creation. It's a study of being in prison. People want Tulse for his creative talents, he thrives on crisis situations to fuel his artworks. The people who try to mould him him to their society." And the inevitable sex scenes? He laughs: "My first was in a cherry orchard, drenched in cherry juice. But I wasnt really nervous because naked people always look beautiful in Peter's films."
He is of course in good company; Michael Gambon and even a nonagenarian John Geilgud were persuaded - if Lady Olivier firmly declined - to strip for art. " JJ is naked prectically all through the film," laughs Drew Mulligan, who play's Lupers's best friend, Martino. " There are lots of close-ups on genitals, lots of sex, its excruciatingly embarrassing....but very tasteful."
