Submitted by kls010 on Wed, 24/02/2010 - 21:09.
After the EFM screening in Berlin, Screen Daily and Movie Web both report that Centurion has been picked up by Magnet Releasing for a US release.
The Wagner/Cuban Companies' Magnet Releasing, genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, announced today that it has acquired U.S. rights to Centurion, an epic sword and sandal thrill ride from cult-favorite filmmaker Neil Marshall (The Descent)...
..."Centurion is a blood drenched masterpiece," said Magnolia/Magnet SVP Tom Quinn. "Neil has made an action movie that delivers on every level, and fans are going to go wild for it. There couldn't be a better film to wrap up the 'Six Shooter' series." Neil Marshall adds, "I'm incredibly happy that Centurion has found a home of such quality and prestige, and amongst such high caliber company too! I look forward to collaborating with Tom and everyone at Magnolia on the forthcoming US release. If history is written in blood, then Centurion is hardcore history - bloody and brutal!"

According to the Bucks Free Press, The Pale Horse has been filming on location in the Hughenden Manor Estate.
FILM crews have taken over the Hughenden Manor estate as they record scenes for ITV detective drama Miss Marple. The show is filming at St Michael and All Angels Church and the manor house for the latest episode called The Pale Horse.
The episode, which features Julia McKenzie as the spinster detective, is about Miss Marple's investigation into the brutal murder of Father Gorman. Adapted from the novel by Agatha Christie the story follows her to The Pale Horse Inn, where she discovers the pub is at heart of something sinister.
Parish clerk and verger Arthur Johnson said: “The principal thing is they wanted to film at the National Trust. “It is nice to have property like this used for this kind of thing.”
